Former Big Brother star Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace says she has been having nightmares after discovering a former boyfriend has been convicted of murdering a woman.
The star, who appeared on the reality show in 2006, shared her horror at finding out about the killing during a discussion in which she was asked for her view about the bid by athlete Oscar Pistorius, who shot and killed his girlfriend in 2013, to be freed from jail.
Speaking to Mark Dolan on GB News she said: “Oh well it’s weird actually that this has come up because an ex of mine when I was 20, he's just recently been in the news for killing his girlfriend…wrapping her up in tarpaulin putting her on a double decker bus and throwing her in the bush.
"It’s just blown my mind and the thought of forgiving him – I just couldn't. He hasn't murdered anybody I know but I just couldn't."
Aisleyne said she was left traumatised after discovering the news and has had trouble sleeping because of it.
She continued: “It's so traumatic. I have nightmares about it now and it's just like ‘god, how can I have been so close to someone that was capable of such horribleness, evilness, wickedness.
“If you're a parent of somebody that has been killed, I think it's a very big ask, to ask for forgiveness…
It's not the first time Aisleyne has opened up on the incident.
In August last year, the star broke down in a video posted to social media after claiming that her ex-boyfriend was arrested following the death of a woman.
She first took to Twitter to share her heartache with her followers, insisting that she “felt faint” after hearing the news.
The reality TV star told her fans that she had “so much on her mind” as she tried to get her head around the shocking information.
Tweeting out her thoughts, Aisleyne wrote: "OK they have him in custody…. I have SO MANY thoughts my mind can't process everything…. feel faint… this is so scary.”
She continued sharing with fans on Instagram later, when she posted a video updating fans on how she was feeling.
The teary reality star said: "Hello. I just wanted to pop online because I realise that was a bit mad what I found out yesterday.
“I’ve had so many DM’s of people asking me am I alright. And I am alright, I went to a little place for food and had a bottle of wine and spoke things out with my girls."
“It just feels weird. I feel like I’ve had a lucky escape,” the star went on.
“My head is blown. I’m freaked out.”
Despite the fact she was left shaken by the claims, the former Big Brother star insisted that she was going to try to keep positive amid the “madness”.
“Anyway, it’s a new day and I’m trying to move on. I’m going to keep positive,” Aisleyne insisted.
