Anna Richardson defends Naked Attraction on Gabby Logan’s podcast
Anna Richardson has explained how her upbringing in a vicarage has impacted her career. The Naked Attraction presenter revealed all while sitting in on Gabby Logan’s podcast last month.
As well as presenting the long-running Channel 4 dating show, Anna, 53, is a qualified Cognitive Hypnotherapist. The star is also a part founder of the company Mindbox – an online mental health support tool.
The project offers 24-hour access to trained experts who are available to hand out sage advice to those suffering from anxiety, stress and panic attacks. Appearing on The Mid•Point with Gabby Logan, Anna revealed that she has an “interest” in mental health.
“Your work away from telly – dealing with mental health and anxiety,” began Gabby, 50. “Mindbox and your qualifications as a Cognitive Hypnotherapist.”
“I know, it’s difficult to say, isn’t it?” replied Anna before the former gymnast asked if she studied the degree to go full-time within the health space. The presenter replied: “It’s a good hat to be able to wear and in terms of being able to have an alternative career – should I wish to have one.

“Or to juggle both in a way. I guess with a lot of the shows that I’ve done in television, they’ve always had that helping element to them or there’s a transformational element.
“So I think my interest in mental health is part and parcel with that. And again, the way I was brought up in a vicarage.
“It’s about helping other people – it’s kind of in my DNA,” she added.
Elsewhere in the conversation, Anna revealed that she may not host Naked Attraction forever as she admitted she could open her own mental health practice.

She told the podcast presenter that she is already qualified as a Cognitive Hypnotherapist and that she is now studying towards her counselling qualifications.
“So, I’m just starting to do that, which is a challenge to do in midlife,” the TV star revealed.
Before fronting Naked Attraction for the first time in 2016, Anna presented Channel 4’s The Sex Education Show in 2008.
Five series’ were commissioned by the broadcaster, including The Sex Education Show vs. Pornography in 2009, The Sex Education Show: Am I Normal?, in 2010, and The Sex Education Show: Stop Pimping Our Kids in 2011.
Earlier this year, the Wellington-born star presented a Channel 4-commissioned documentary The Truth About the ‘Skinny’ Jab.
The factual special aired on September 19, and sees Anna meeting with experts and discussing the drug’s misuse.
She also spoke to users of weight-loss jabs, and discussed both their benefits, misconceptions, and overall cons.
