Netflix fans have taken to Twitter to laud the terrifying thriller Missing, admitting ‘they nearly vomited’ while watching the film.

The groundbreaking film’s plot plays out entirely through digital screens such as CCTV, smartphones, cameras and computers.

The film focuses on young June Allen, who is determined to find her missing mother Grace after she disappears in Colombia.

Thanks to her online investigation skills, June discovers that her mother was kidnapped from the streets and bundled into a white pick-up truck.

On her quest to find Grace, June makes some shocking discoveries about her mother’s past, including links to a well-known criminal.

Enlisting the help of a private detective, June follows his search in Colombia on Facetime.

The new concept with a huge hit with fans who tuned into the thriller after it hit Netflix, following a theatrical release in January.

Many admitted they were on the edge of their seat watching the tense story unfold.

One tweeted: ‘This movie as insane and so so so well made. Not only did it have me in the edge of my seat the entire time, but it had me so stressed out to the point of almost vomiting. Terrifying, but so well made.’

Another added: ‘Missing on Netflix is SO GOOD!! Was legit on the edge of my seat the whole time.” 

One fan also lauded: ‘It’s been a long time since a movie has had me LITERALLY on the edge of my seat #missingmovie on #netflix is soooo f****ng good.’

It comes after Netflix viewers admitted they were ‘unable to sleep’ after watching the ‘grotesque’ horror Viking Wolf.

Viking Wolf is a fairly low-budget Norwegian horror film that was released on Netflix in February. It didn’t get rave reviews and scores 50 percent on Rotten Tomatoes and 5.2/10 on IMDb.

It is set in a rural Swedish town suddenly plagued by what seems to be a werewolf soon after Thale, 17, moves there from Oslo with her mother.

The film has a number of disturbing scenes. At one point Thale devours her friend after transforming into a werewolf during a full moon. 

Fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the film.

‘My 8 yr old sister thought she was smart and snuck watched the Viking Wolf on Netflix. She has been slinking into my room round midnight as the nightmares are nightmaring.’
