Paul Cattermole’s cause of death confirmed after S Club 7 star was found at home

S Club 7 star Paul Cattermole dies aged 46

Dorset Coroner’s Service has finished investigating Paul Cattermole’s death and revealed his cause of death for the first time. A spokeswoman told The Sun: “I can confirm that Mr Cattermole died from natural causes and our investigations have concluded.”

The S Club 7 star was found dead at his home on April 6. He was just 46.

The coroner’s report means no inquest will be held into his death. Dorset Police, who found his body, told the aforementioned publication that their enquiries remain “ongoing”.

Paul’s death came just weeks after S Club 7 announced their reunion tour, which is scheduled to take place in October.

Earlier this week, the band confirmed the 25th anniversary performances will still go ahead with the remaining five members.

Hannah Spearritt, who was in a relationship with Paul for five years, will not be joining the group.

In a video posted to the group’s official Instagram page, Jon Lee said: “You’ve probably noticed that there’s only five of us here today, and although Hannah will always be part of S Club 7 she won’t be joining us on this tour.

“We wish her all the best for the future. However, the five of us are really excited and geared up.

“It’s just really sad, it’s really really hard to process it right now,” added Tina Barrett.

The group has undergone a rebrand, with the number seven removed from its social media and website.

The tour has also been renamed the Good Times tour in memory of Cattermole.

S Club had confirmed Paul’s tragic death in a statement shared to Instagram.

They said they were “truly devastated” and that “he will be so deeply missed by each and every one of us”.

Paul’s ex Hannah paid a separate tribute to her “first love”, saying: “It’s still so raw, I still even now have moments that you don’t quite believe it’s real.”

Paul and Hannah were in a relationship in the early 2000s, at the height of S Club 7’s fame.

They split after five years before briefly rekindling their romance for a few months in 2015.
