Prince William teaches son George, eight, how to wear cufflinks in sweet clip

Royal fans saw a sweet father-son moment between Princes George and William as the doting dad showed his eight year old son how to wear cufflinks.

Prince William, Kate Middleton and their two eldest children George and Charlotte, six, promptly arrived at this evening’s Party at the Palace located outside Buckingham Palace.

The Cambridge’s youngest Prince Louis, four, wasn’t with the family for the affair, and was likely being looked after by their “loyal nanny” Maria or Kate’s mother, Carole.

The star-studded affair has been set up as part of the Queen’s ongoing Platinum Jubilee celebrations as this weekend marks her 70 years on the throne.

As the family sat down in their front-row seats the camera panned across the many faces in the Royal box, and showed William chatting to his eldest son and demonstrating how to wear the smart attire staple.

While William chatted to George, before the family sat down, Zara Tindall was seen helping young Charlotte settle in her seat as it was full of items.

Ensuring Charlotte could sit down comfortably, Zara – who’s married to Rugby star Mike Tindall – moved the things out the way so that the princess could take her seat.

The heartfelt family moments come after William, Kate, George and Charlotte all attended a Royal engagement in Wales earlier today, where the two parents tenderly held their children’s hands.

The family were treated to performances from Welsh singers Bonnie Tyler and Aled Jones.

The visit is one of a number members of the royal household are carrying out across the nations of the United Kingdom to mark the Jubilee.

Kate and William shared their excitement over the event on their Twitter page shortly before they were photographed at Cardiff Castle.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's tweet read: "We’ve arrived in Wales.

"We’re looking forward to seeing how you’re marking the #PlatinumJubilee at Cardiff Castle today and meeting some of the talented people helping you celebrate in style."

While Louis wasn’t with the family for today’s festivities, the four year old stole the show yesterday during the Trooping the Colour.

In an iconic moment, he could be seen covering his ears as fighter jets flew by overhead in the formation of the number 70, to celebrate the historic milestone for the Queen.

Viewers were quick to point out how adorable the young prince was, with one person writing: "Oh #Louis !! Bless him, it must have been so loud! I wonder how William and Catherine explain all this pomp and pageantry to their kids!"
