Prince William to give speech during concert with Duke seen practising in rehearsals

It’s not just the line-up of iconic musicians that have got their work cut out for them tonight – plenty of the senior royals are very much still in work mode following the historic Coronation ceremony that took place yesterday.

King Charles III and Queen Camilla were officially crowned at Westminster Abbey on Saturday 6th May in a service that was followed by a procession back to Buckingham Palace.

While members of the royal family have been joining 'Big Lunches' across the country today and making public appearances, Prince William has been preparing for his next major role of the weekend.

In behind-the-scenes footage released by the Kensington Palace, the Duke has been seen prepping for the speech he’ll make at tonight’s Coronation concert.

The heir to the throne – who had a few important roles at yesterday’s event, including swearing his allegiance to his father – is set to take to the stage to deliver a speech amid the musical performances, which is being hosted in the grounds of Windsor Castle.

While it’s unclear as of now as to what the Prince of Wales will be speaking about, it’s highly likely he’ll honour his father and stepmother to the gathering crowds and those watching at home.

Apparently, the huge concert will be attended by a whopping 20,000 members of the public, not to mention the King, Queen, plus a huge portion of the royal family.

During the official BTS footage, Will is seen laughing backstage before heading out onto the mega stage to run through his next responsibility.

“OK, Prince of Wales, it’s time for your rehearsal,” a voice is heard in the video as William appears in shot.

The father-of-three then puts his hands together and opens his mouth to begin talking, which is where the clip ends, leaving royal fans with the ultimate cliffhanger.

Many fans took to the comments section to express their excitement for this evening, where as well as William’s speech, stars like Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, Take That, Nicole Scherzinger and Paloma Faith will perform from their catalogues of hits.

“Can’t wait,” one user typed as another agreed, writing: “So looking forward to it and your speech.”

A third commended Kensington Palace for their constant BTS updates, saying: “I am seriously loving these behind the scenes videos!! Please continue these @KensingtonRoyal,” as a fourth penned: “Can’t wait! Hope to see the whole family there. On a side note, these short videos you’ve been posting recently are amazing! Keep it up.”
