Queen Camilla pays tribute to late Elizabeth II with fashion detail as she attends Ascot

Queen Camilla may have just paid tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II with her outfit choice.

The 76-year-old, whose married to King Charles, attended Ascot Racecourse today, wearing a emerald green coat dress and a fabulous matching hat.

She paired the dress with a pair of block heel knee-length boots and black leather gloves.

However it's Camilla's accessories which have caught the attention of Royal fans.

It appears that she is wearing a brooch, which features a diamond-encrusted steed being mounted by a jockey.

The brooch is very similar to one that her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth got for her 90th birthday, leading royalists to believe that it was passed on to fellow horse-racing enthusiast Queen Camilla following her death.

Camilla posed for photographs at the racecourse, as she arrived for the QIPCO British Champions Day, alongside the world-famous retired jockey, Frankie Dettori.

The brooch, gifted to Queen Elizabeth, was commissioned by the Racing Post newspaper and made by Birmingham-based jewellers Alabaster & Wilson Ltd.

It is made up of three shades of gold, white for the horse, gold for the jockey and red gold for the reins and bridle.

In keeping with tradition, it's not the first time that Camilla has paid tribute to the late Queen.

Even this week, she made a nod by debuting one of Queen Elizabeth II's tiaras to attend a banquet with King Charles.

The dinner was held to recognise the work of the City of London civic institutions and Livery Companies – the city’s ancient and modern trade guilds.

The was occasion is King Charles' first official visit to the City of London since becoming the new monarch.

It has been reported that the headpiece was ordinally given to Charles’ great-grandmother Queen Mary on the occasion of her wedding in 1893.

Along with the tiara, Camilla also made her first appearance in a necklace and bracelet set that belonged to her late mother-in-law.

On the occasion of her 21st birthday in 1947, the late queen received a necklace with 21 diamonds during a visit to South Africa.

Camilla has famously never had her ears pierced, however, that doesn't stop her from wearing some dazzling clip-on earrings.

Despite having access to some of the best jewellery collections in the entire world, the Queen primarily sticks to clip-on pearls.

To Ascot, she wore chunky gold earrings with a dangling jewel incrusted pendant.
