Radio 1’s Charlie Hedge praised for showing love for her ‘post pregnancy belly’

Radio 1 DJ Charlie Hedges has been applauded for embracing her postpartum body.

The 36 year old, who welcomed her baby girl on 13 August 2022, took to her Instagram to share the snaps as she could be seen preparing to go for a walk in the garden.

Dressed in a blue checked and floral outfit, the star wrote: "Off for a 2 min walk up and down the garden. Dress on, same bra as last week…let’s go!”.

Charlie then followed the picture with a second slide where she could be seen holding onto her tummy, which she captioned: "As promised another post pregnancy belly pic. How bloomin 'incredible are women's bodies…I grew a HUMAN!!!!! Still can’t believe it. Love you belly’".

Following her post, it looked like Charlie was flooded with uplifting messages from her followers, with many praising her for sharing her post pregnancy figure.

Reacting to the comments, the radio presenter took to her Instagram stories and wrote: "Just wanted to say THANK YOU, I have soooo many dm's of support, encouragement and lovely comments".

Charlie announced that she was pregnant in March – live on air.

The exciting news came as a surprise to Greg James and listeners at home, during the ‘Tell Me Something’ segment of the show.

On 13 August 2022, she welcomed her bundle of joy, a girl, to the world. Sharing a sweet snap of the newborn, herself and her partners – all hand in hand, she captioned it: "Soul of my Soul, And God created Woman' Our beautiful Summer-Rose was born Saturday 13th August 2022. Life is complete."

She ended the caption with, “AND… she was born to…. in true Dance Anthems style….Calvin Harris – Summer!!!! Literally as the tune drops she arrives into the world.”

Sharing the good news, a few celebrities could not contain their excitement and shared their thoughts as TOWIE’s Amy Childs said: “congrats my lovely," using a heart emoji.
