Rebekah Vardy says she ‘deeply regrets’ comments on Peter Andre’s manhood

Rebekah Vardy has said that she "deeply regrets" her comments on Peter Andre's manhood, in which she referred to it as a "chipolata", in an explosive new interview with TalkTV.

The interview named 'Coleen & Me', which aired on Wednesday, August 3, is the first Rebekah has done since she lost the libel trial that she brought against Coleen Rooney, 36.

Rebekah, 40, and Peter, 49, enjoyed a fling in 2001, when she was just 21, but the now-WAG later made some unsavoury comments about the size of his manhood to now-defunct newspaper News of the World.

She detailed her night of passion with Pete in an interview with News of the World in 2004, and made some shocking claims about the singer.

Rebekah said he had "the smallest trouser equipment I've ever seen", and compared Pete's manhood to a "miniature chipolata". She also said he "made no attempt to satisfy me".

Her comments were brought back up almost 20 years later during her Wagatha Christie High Court libel case with Coleen Rooney, after Coleen's "Rottweiler" barrister David Sherborne referenced them.

David held up an A3 print out of the article in court on the first day of the trial, and then read out the headline: "Peter's hung like a chipolata, shaved, slobbery, lasts five minutes".

He then proceeded to ask Rebekah: "Did you think it was respectful of Mr Andre's desire not for this to be made public for you to say all this to the News Of The World and 4 million readers?"

Rebekah claimed that she was forced to do the interview, and said: "I was forced into a situation by my ex-husband to do this. It is something that I deeply regret… It is not nice to read and I understand why this is being used and to me this is mudslinging and I was also threatened with mudslinging by Mrs Rooney's team."

Now, speaking in her interview with TalkTV, Rebekah discussed her feelings having just sensationally lost the libel trial after a seven-day showdown with Coleen Rooney.

Rebekah continued to deny that she had leaked stories about Coleen, however, when the interviewer pointed out the story that Rebekah had sold on Peter Andre, Rebekah said she "deeply regrets" her comments.

She said: "I didn't leak that. That was a story I put my name to and it was something that I deeply regret and I'm deeply ashamed of, but it was so long ago.

"You know, life was so different for me then and I tried to explain the situation in which that came up and, you know, I just think that was wrong for him [Peter] to have been brought into that situation.

"He had nothing to do with it. That had nothing to do with what I was accused of."
