Rita Ora is reportedly 'set to marry soon' after getting engaged to film director Taika Waititi.
According to The Sun, the singer, 31, and her fiancé proposed to one another 'simultaneously' and are now preparing to have an intimate wedding, which will be followed by a big London bash in the summer.
A source told the paper: "This isn’t about them doing a big showy thing and crowing about it beforehand. It’s just about them being in love and deciding the time is right to formalise their relationship.
"They couldn’t be happier.”
Rita and Taika will reportedly tie the knot as soon as their work schedules allow them to.
Whilst the pop star is currently occupied with her coach role on The Voice Australia, as well as film projects, director Taika has a whole host of projects coming up, including a new addition to the Star Wars universe.
The insider added: "They didn’t do a whole, ‘Will you marry me?’ thing and an Instagram post.
"There’s no ring or big build-up. They just got closer and closer and eventually said to each other almost simultaneously, ‘I want to marry you’.
“It’s actually really romantic and just exactly the way they are together."
Speaking about how the couple plan to make their intimate vows abroad, the source said: "So the plan is to marry abroad, as soon as their respective projects end, with their closest friends and family around them.
"And then there will be a big celebration in London at a later stage, when they get the chance, with all their famous friends there. But for now it’s about getting down the aisle and making things official.
"There are a few details to iron out, but it’s coming soon and it’ll be beautifully intimate and perfectly them.”
Although Rita and Taika have been together for around a year and a half, they've been friends for much longer.
On Valentine's Day this year, Rita shared several snaps of the two together, with the caption: “Us, four years ago. To now. Thanks for being cool, and entertaining me forever.”
