The Instagram page of Russell Brand’s wife Laura Gallacher, who now uses her married name, has disappeared shortly after her husband publicly denied “serious allegations” made against him.

Last night the actor and TV personality posted a video to his YouTube channel, in which he spoke about “aggressive attacks” being made against him.

The 48-year-old claims he has received an “extremely disturbing” letter and email from a mainstream media TV company and a newspaper listing “a litany of extremely egregious and aggressive attacks”.

“Amidst this litany of astonishing, rather baroque, attacks are some very serious allegations that I absolutely refute,” he stated.

Shortly afterwards the page, which is 36-year-old wife of six years used to promote her work, disappeared.

Express.co.uk has contacted representatives for Laura Brand for comment.
