Rylan jokes he’s ‘always on edge’ filming Gogglebox with mum Linda

Rylan Clark has jokingly admitted he's always "on edge" during filming of Celebrity Gogglebox with his beloved mum Linda, as he's never sure what she's going to say.

The Channel 4 show is perfect for ad-libbing as they telly-watch for the charity edition, with jokes and commentary free-flowing as the stars watch the action unfolding in front of them on the TV.

But the 33 year old Strictly Come Dancing It Takes Two star gets nervous about what's about to emerge from his cheeky mum Linda.

The duo took a year off from the series as Rylan's mum struggles with Crohn's disease, but after focusing on her health she's back and raring to go.

The TV presenter also gushed over how much he loves filming the show, but can't hide his worry about what's going to come out of his mum's mouth.

“I can literally sit there and do f*** all and she just does it, which is great," the radio star told The Sun.

"She has no idea she’s even doing it," the star continued. "That is what makes it work with her, that is why people love her.

"I am always there thinking ‘what the f*** is going to come out of her mouth?’” Rylan giggled.

Rylan also gave fans an insight on filming Gogglebox when he shared pictures of the crew filming at his house.

The TV star said he “feels comfortable” in front of the cameras, and praised the show's team for being understanding as he and his mum dealt with difficulties in their personal lives as well as health issues.

The telly-watching duo film from a luxurious sofa in Rylan's spacious kitchen at his country abode, where they come out with some cracking commentary throughout the episodes.

Despite being forced to take some time out of filming the series recently, Rylan insisted his mum is “ready and raring to go” for more Gogglebox action.

Last year, the TV host also took a break from the series after experiencing struggles with his mental health following the split from his husband Dan Neal.

Rylan opened up on his disappointment not to take part in the show as he revealed he hadn't been "too well".

“I was gutted I couldn’t be part of it last year because I wasn’t too well. But I am thrilled to be back this year,” the star added.
