Shaughna Phillips and Olivia Attwood congratulate Love Island’s Amy Hart as she gives birth to baby boy

Shaughna Phillips and Olivia Attwood have lead the stars as they send their warmest congratulations to Amy Hart and Samuel Rason following the birth of their adorable son.

The couple shared the happy news on Tuesday evening, as they revealed that after a gruelling four day labour, Amy had safely delivered her first child.

Taking to social media, the couple wrote: “Well…. 4 days of contractions at home (which everyone told us were braxton hicks…they weren’t ), 4 very short hours in the delivery suite and 5 long days in hospital later, we are home with our dreamy baby boy born at 3.31am on 3/3/23 weighing 8lbs with the most beautiful head of hair.”

They then continued: (Amy would take the 9 months of reflux again) and we are so so in love. Proper introductions to come but now we’re home safe and sound. Thank you to everyone who sent their well wishes. We really appreciated it over the last few days. [here’s a few delivery room snaps, can’t wait to show you his beautiful, non post birth swollen face.”

Alongside the caption, the couple shared a handful of photos of the new arrival, prompting a flood of messages of congratulations from fans and famous faces alike.

Leading the charge was Shaughna Phillips, who is expecting her own baby in the coming weeks. She wrote: “So beautiful! Congratulations to you all, glad you’re all home!”

Olivia Attwoodadded: “Ahhh congratulations. So beautiful!”

Coronation Street star Samia Longchambon also sent her warmest wishes as she wrote: “Huge congratulations Amy! He’s a beauty.. hope you’re doing well too!”

Anna Williamson also gushed over the new arrival as she wrote: “Wonderful news!!!! Congratulations!”

Meanwhile, Tayah Victoria added: “So beautiful!! Congratulations lovely!”

At the time of writing, the announcement post had wracked up over 78,000 likes in 40 minutes, with proud dad Sam also weighing in as he adorably commented: “So in love with you both .”

The couple’s journey to parenthood has been a long one, and follows on from Amy’s decision to freeze her eggs, with the intention of starting IVF in November 2022.

However, after meeting Sam, Amy conceived naturally last year.

Ahead of going into labour, Amy spoke to OK! about how she found her pregnancy journey – revealing she gave hypnobirthing a go and wanted to have a water birth.

"I’m quite intrigued now. I’ve done my hypnobirthing and it’s good for Sam because it really involved him and what his role is," she shared.

"I gave my mum a book about hypnobirthing to read – she’s going to be at the birth – but she’s not entirely convinced by it. I’m going to have to prove her wrong.

"I’d like to go in the pool but there are only two at the hospital, so if they’re not available, they’re not available. I’m very [much] just going with the flow."
