Sinead O’Connor shares tribute as her teenage son Shane dies

Irish music legend Sinead O’Connor died at the age of 56, with the sad news being confirmed today.

It comes just one year after mother of four Sinead cancelled all of her 2022 gigs following the tragic death of her son Shane.

Shane O’Connor, who was 17, died in January after going missing in Newbridge, County Kildare.

Shane took his own life after escaping hospital while on suicide watch.

In a statement, O’Connor’s team cancelled all of her 2022 shows “due to continuing to grief over the tragic loss of her beloved son Shane”.
