AceShowbiz –SpotemGottem had a run-in with the law yet again. It was unveiled that the “Beat Box” hitmaker was taken into custody over the weekend after a jet ski chase in Miami.
According to a Miami Police arrest affidavit obtained by FOX Television Stations on Tuesday, June 28, the 20-year-old was speeding on a black and orange Sea-Doo jet ski in a restricted zone with posted signs. When a police officer tried to pull him over, the emcee allegedly took off, swerving through anchored boats and swimmers near the area.
The officer reportedly tried to stop SpotemGottem using lights and sirens, but he continued to ride away. The hip-hop star, however, was eventually stopped and arrested by Miami Police.
The Jacksonville native, born Nehemiah Lamar Harden, was booked on Sunday night with a series of charges, including eluding law enforcement and reckless operation of a boat. In his arrest report, it’s stated that the rapper had “a willful and wanton disregard for the safety of others and property (boats) at a speed or in a manner as to endanger himself or others.”
SpotemGottem, who has collaborated with the likes of DaBaby, Polo G, Pooh Shiesty and NLE Choppa, was wanted in Texas back in August for allegedly bragging about a 2020 homicide of a man named Reginald Agnew Jr. on his song, “Again”.
“That is very bold,” Detective Belew told Fox News 4 about SpotemGottem’s possible confession on the track. “You know that is like stepping like ‘hey we did this and the police don’t even know who did it and we’re going to get away with murdering this young man.’ “
Just one month prior to that, SpotemGottem was arrested on charges of aggravated assault with a firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and accessory after the fact to a felony. He, however, was released from jail after posting an $18,500 bond.
