Stacey Solomon ‘annoyed’ her children with tattoo tribute to husband Joe Swash

Stacey Solomon left her children "annoyed" after she decided to get a tattoo tribute to her husband Joe Swash, the former EastEnders actor has revealed.

Joe, 41, who was evicted from I'm A Celebrity…South Africa during last night's show, appeared on Loose Women today (Wednesday 10 May) to discuss his time in the jungle and his life with wife Stacey, 33.

As he reflected on his experience in the jungle the second time around, and admitted to constantly missing his family and kids, Joe also spoke about the special inking Stacey decided to dedicate to him.

In recent photos, the Tap to Tidy author, who has been focused on starting a at-home new gym routine, showed off the word Joe tattooed on her ring finger, and later explained that she'd decided to get a tattoo in honour of her beloved hubby.

But as he giggled away with the panel on Loose Women, Joe insisted she was actually supposed to be getting one for the children.

"I was so surprised!" Joe exclaimed. "She was going off to do one for the kids and get one for the kids, but I don't think she could make her mind up so she got me done.

"The kids were so annoyed about it, they were like 'what's going on here mum?'"

Joe and Stacey share youngest children Rex, four, Rose, one, and baby Belle together. Stacey also has sons Zachary, 15, and Leighton, 11, from previous relationships, and Joe shares son Harry, 16, with his ex.

The star went on to say that he thinks his wife is now going to expect him to get a tattoo dedicated to her, but he's apprehensive because she'll undoubtedly want him to outdo the gesture.

"I feel like she's expecting one back and she's only got a little one on her finger," the dad-of-four continued. "You know what Stacey's like, she's going to want one on my forehead or something."

While the panel were in hysterics at Joe's cheeky comments, and he and Stacey are always taking the mickey out of each other in public, the proud husband turned serious.

"I was so touched by it, I said to her 'you do love me don't you'," Joe added.

During his time on the all stars I'm A Celeb edition, the TV star regularly spoke of Stacey and his love for his children, even stating in his introduction that viewers probably know him best as "Stacey Solomon's husband" now.

But while he was full of laughs and quips in the jungle, Joe has since admitted he found the experience much more intense this time around due to being separated from the kids.

The series was filmed back in September, and at the time, Rose was still only a baby and Stacey was secretly pregnant with daughter Belle.

It was also only a couple of months after the couple got married in their stunning and romantic home wedding, so a difficult time to be torn apart.

"I think I found it tougher ultimately because of being away from the kids for so long. I missed my family so much," Joe shared recently. "We had our phones taken away and I’ve never not had communication with them before.

"My kids are young and I knew they wouldn’t really understand where I was and would be upset. It really played on me. And being in the camp, it always brings up memories for me of Stacey. If it wasn’t for the show, I would never have my family."
