Stacey Solomon, 33, has taken to social media to show off her elaborately decorated home in time for the spooky season. The Loose Women panellist shares the £1.2 million home, nicknamed Pickle Cottage, with her husband Joe Swash and their children.

It comes after she previously stated her concerns about the rise in energy bill costs for UK residents, as a result of the cost of living crisis.

However, it appears as if the family didn’t spare any expenses when decorating their home for Halloween.

The star decorated the front of her house with pumpkins and squashes, as well as red and orange flowers.

In the garden, the family placed a row of skeletons, which Stacey joked were providing “brilliant childcare”.

The front door looked stunning with a large autumnal arch made of orange leaves and fairy lights.

Stacey shared the adorable family snaps in front of the house with Joe and her children; daughter Rose, 9 months, Rex, 2, Zach, 14, and Leighton, 10, in view of her 5 million followers.

She captioned the picture: “Halloween At Pickle Cottage our favourite family tradition…

“There’s so many of us now you can’t even see the door.”

Although Stacey may have splashed the cash on some items for the decorative addition, she is also known for her expertise in arts and crafts, so some were likely to have been handmade with little cost.

It comes after the Tap to Tidy enthusiast previously spoke to The Guardian about her concerns regarding rising energy costs.

Stacey said the rise in costs could mean her family would no longer be able to afford to keep up with their current energy usage.

The star explained: “If our energy bill doubles, then it might well be beyond our means in the future.

“I’m not saying it is the same for us as someone on the breadline, ’cos it blooming well isn’t. But it’s such a scary time.

“How have we allowed the country to get to this point? How can the government not be prepared for it?”

Following the upload of her Halloween social media post, Stacey received backlash from an online troll, who had incorrectly claimed she had allowed her kids to “fend for themselves”.

The criticism came after she joked she had left her skeleton Halloween decorations, which she nicknamed Phill and Grant, in charge of her four children.

Sharing a picture of one of the skeletons among other Halloween props, Stacey quipped that the spooky character had prepared breakfast for her family while she was away.

She typed: “Good morning. I was up & out in the darkness this morning before anyone woke up.

“I have been for the last few days so I’ve left Phill & Grant (the skeletons) in charge.”

The message, sent by an unknown social media user, read: “This is all fun and games or whatever but are you saying you just left all your kids this morning to fend for themselves?”

In response, Stacey penned: “Some people crack me up so much.

“Don’t worry Phill and Grant have their NVQs and checks.

“(Obviously Joe is at home. I just like to do little things to remind them I still exist.)”
