Strictly Come Dancing star Amanda Abbington has paid tribute to the late England and Tottenham football manager Terry Venables.
Taking to her Instagram Story, the actress shared the team’s post dedicated to Terry following his death aged 80.
Alongside a picture of the late footballer, they wrote: “The Club is extremely saddened to learn of the passing of former player and manager Terry Venables.
“Our deepest condolences are with Terry’s friends and family at this incredibly difficult time.
“In tribute, we shall hold a minute’s applause prior to kick-off and our players will wear black armbands during this afternoon’s fixture against Aston Villa.”

Amanda, 51, shared the post in view of her 140,000 folllowers, writing: “Very sad news.”
The actress’ tribute comes following an update about her husband-to-be stuntman Jonathan Goodwin.
Nearly two years ago, he was left in a wheelchair after a fireball escapology stunt went wrong.
While performing on America’s Got Talent, he was set to hang upside down 30 feet in the air between two suspended cars and escape from a straitjacket.
When doing the stunt however, the cars were released too early, leaving him crushed between them and an explosion to go off.

The accident left him paralysed from the waist down and with a dislocated spinal cord, the loss of a kidney, third-degree burns and fractured ribs and leg.
In an update this week, both Amanda and Jonnie shared footage of him back on his feet with the assistance of ground-breaking technology.
The former stuntman was seen walking on a treadmill while being held up by a harness and wearing robotic machinery on his legs.
Expaining further about what was happening, Amanda wrote: “We spent the morning with the wonderful people at @neurokinex with Jonathan road-testing ‘Trevor’ a groundbreaking exoskeleton from the incredible team at @cyberdyne_germany.
“It was a very, very emotional and inspiring experience to watch and be part of.”
She went on to say she is “unbelievably proud of the ever-wonderful and truly amazing” Jonathan, who, “went way beyond what was thought possible. Love this man so very much”.
Amanda concluded her post writing: “Trust the Process.”
The pair have been together since 2021, two years after he found fame on Britain’s Got Talent.
