Travis Tritt axes Bud Light from tour over work with Dylan Mulvaney

Dylan Mulvaney’s partnership with Bud Light sparks backlash

Travis Tritt, 60, has joined the likes of Kid Rock in blasting Anheuser-Busch beers, as he announced he would be removing the products from his tour.

This comes as TikTok star and trans activist Dylan Mulvaney announced their partnership in a series of videos posted on social media last weekend.

Travis wrote in view of his 352,800 Twitter followers: “I will be deleting all Anheuser-Busch products from my tour hospitality rider. I know many other artists who are doing the same.

“Other artists who are deleting Anheuser-Busch products from their hospitality rider might not say so in public for fear of being ridiculed and cancelled. I have no such fear.”

He then hit out at Jack Daniels for their partnership with drag queen RuPaul, as he shared a picture of the advert with the comment: “All the @Jack_Daniels_US drinkers should take note.”

Travis then wrote a separate Twitter message to share his reasoning for finishing his partnership with the brand.

It read: “In full disclosure, I was on a tour sponsored by Budweiser in the ’90s. That was when Anheuser-Busch was American owned.

“A great American company that later sold out to the Europeans and became unrecognizable to the American consumer. Such a shame.”

Tritt appears to be referring to Belgian company InBev and American Anheuser-Busch agreeing to combine in 2008, with Budweiser as their flagship band.

Dylan announced their involvement with Bud Light with a series of videos last weekend to coincide with the NCAA March Madness Tournament.

She was even given a beer can with her face printed on it to celebrate her 365 days of being a woman, something which angered Travis.

Dylan, who has not yet had gender-reassignment surgery, is currently on hormones to help her transition into a woman and has been documenting her change “into girlhood”.

Fellow singer Kid Rock shot at cans of Bud Light to send a “clear and concise” message after hearing of Dylan’s work with the beer company.

While shooting the cans, he showed the expletives: “F*** Bud Light, and f*** Anheuser-Busch. Have a terrific day.”

In a statement to Fox News, Anheuser-Busch, the manufacturer behind Bud Light, has released a statement in response to the outrage over their new partnership.

It read: “Anheuser-Busch works with hundreds of influencers across our brands as one of many ways to authentically connect with audiences across various demographics and passion points.

“From time to time, we produce unique commemorative cans for fans and for brand influencers, like Dylan Mulvaney.

“This commemorative can was a gift to celebrate a personal milestone and is not for sale to the general public.”

This comes after Dylan addressed conservative criticism in her Live Day 365 show at the Rainbow Room in March, showing a compilation video of pundits misgendering her.

Despite boos from fans, Dylan said that she’s grown a thicker skin despite the criticism.

She told the audience: “I think we’ve established that I really like to talk.

“So I don’t think they’re gonna have the best luck silencing me.”
