YK Osiris Publicly Apologizes to Sukihana for Forcibly Kissing Her, Meek Mill Speaks in His Defense

In a statement issued via his social media account after clip of the incident went viral, the ‘Valentine’ rapper admits he ‘misread the moment’ when he tried to be ‘playful.’

AceShowbizYK Osiris has broken his silence after he went under fire for his controversial behavior toward Sukihana. The rapper has issued a public apology to the fellow hip-hop star and reality TV personality after he was accused of sexual assault for forcibly kissing her in a viral video.

Making use of his Instagram account on Wednesday, June 14, the 24-year-old expressed his remorse for the incident that left Sukihana feeling “hurt.” He wrote, “I want to publicly offer my sincerest apology to Sukihana. In an attempt to be playful, I misread the moment and violated Sukihana’s boundaries.”

“I understand the importance of consent and I am embarrassed by my behavior,” the “Valentine” emcee claimed, before adding, “I take full responsibility and have made multiple attempts to apologize. I have the utmost admiration for Sukihana and it was never my intention to disrespect her.”

YK turned off the comments on the post, which is the only one currently standing on his page.

Meek Mill has since spoken in defense of YK. “Don’t do this to him please he a good kid ….,” he pleaded with Internet users. “Just slap him and he gotta let you something … we don’t need our young bulls tore down for mistakes in this hyper sexual era….” Meek went on clarifying, “I support suki …,” before imploring, “hold that s**t down on some street s**t.”

YK previously landed in hot water after he was seen forcibly kissing Sukihana at a public event last week. After their apparent friendly conversation, he was seen grabbing Sukihana’s face as he stood behind her doing commentary for the indoor basketball league. He then kissed her twice, prompting her to exclaim, “Oh my!”

After many social media users, including Amber Rose, condemned YK over his action, Sukihana tweeted, “I am hurt and I am scared to stand up for myself.” She added in a separate tweet, “I drink to hide that I’m very sensitive. I feel things more then the average person. I stopped drinking yesterday but today I’ve been crying all day.”

“I asked God to strengthen me and use me to help others and to order my steps in his word. I just want to go away for awhile,” the “Love & Hip Hop Miami” star claimed, before taking down her Twitter account.
