Zara Mcdermott Recalls Secret To Calming Nerves Whilst Dancing
As the race rumbles on for the Glitterball Trophy, Zara McDermott has revealed how the long Strictly schedule has impacted her relationship with boyfriend Sam Thompson.
The 26-year-old said Sam, 31, is fully supportive of her new dancing gig and is understanding of the long hours she has to put into the competition.
Speaking to OK! Magazine, the former Love Island star expressed: “You have to put hours into training. You have to be really dedicated.
“Even when I get home, I’m watching my routine over and over again. Sam is amazing, I show him videos and he watches with him.”
Zara went on to admit that relationships are all about give and take and sometimes one partner has to be more supportive over the other.

She continued: “I think relationships are not always balanced. Sometimes someone needs a bit more support, sometimes the other one does – that’s how I see relationships in general, to be honest.
“It’s all about communication. You only get to do Strictly once,” Zara told the publication.
The lovebirds began dating in early 2019 and their relationship is going from strength to strength.
Zara’s admission about her relationship comes after she revealed she was exhausted after dashing straight from Ibiza airport to the Strictly Come Dancing rehearsal room on Monday.
