Zara McDermott has shockingly revealed that her car was almost broken into by a gang of masked robbers as she sat inside it.
The former Love Island star, 25, took to her Instagram stories to tell the horrifying tale, as she warned her followers to lock their cars as soon as they got into them – which was what prevented the gang from being successful in stealing the car.
She spoke from her seat in a stationary car as she said she was "really shaken up" and "emotional" about what had just happened.
The girlfriend of Made in Chelsea's Sam Thompson, 30, explained that she had parked her car in London, and had walked around 10 to 15 minutes to the Westfield shopping centre.
She said that she was making her way to her car "as it started to get dark", whilst on the phone to Sam, before she started to feel "really unsafe".
Explaining how she put her shopping bags into the boot and then got into the car straight away and locking it – which is something she has always done – she then dropped her car key on the floor.
She said: "So I bend down to pick it up and I look up and there are four guys surrounding my car, most of which have balaclavas on.
"It was all so quick but this guy on this side, on the passenger side, didn't. He just had his hood up and a scarf, and he was trying to open the door, and then I look this way," as she looked to the other window.
She continued: "Another guy was trying to open the door. I look back and he's tapping on the window trying to get my attention and get me to not move.
"I look in my rearview mirror and I see… I think someone was trying to get in the boot and then someone appears in front of the car, basically surrounds the car."
Explaining her reaction, Zara said: "I just didn't even think. I just put it into reverse and put the accelerator down.
"The guy at the back must have moved away because I just reversed and drove off and I was obviously like, I don't even know what I did but I just managed to get away from that situation."
She assured her followers that she was fine but reflected that the fact that she always locks her doors when she gets into her car was the reason the robbers were unsuccessful.
Zara then urged viewers of the video to ensure they lock their cars as soon as they get into them, as she said: "Always, always, always lock your car, guys and girls."
