Zoe Ball apologises to BBC Radio 2 colleague after fans spot blunder live on air

Zoe Ball apologies for leaving microphone on

BBC Radio 2 host Zoe Ball and newsreader Justine Greene were reduced to giggles today after the former made a blunder live on air.

The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show host admitted that a fan had phoned in to point out her mistake, which came as Justine was reading the news at 8 am.

Once Justine had finished reading her news bulletin, BBC presenter Zoe cut in sheepishly to issue a quick apology.

“I hope I didn’t put you off there, because I left my microphone open Justine – as Mic in Rotherham noted,” she revealed.

“No, it was all alright,” Justine reassured her, before Zoe continued: “He says did I hear you singing along to the new jingle.”

“Beautiful!” Justine agreed, as Zoe chimed in by singing the new BBC Radio 2 jingle and adding: “Doesn’t everyone?”

“Course they do!” an amused Justine reiterated, as Zoe continued to sing before telling fans: “I’ll stop now.”

“Justine, I’m glad I didn’t put you off – I’m sorry about that,” Zoe said.
