Abbey Clancy reveals the rigid rules her & Peter Crouch have at their £3m Surrey mansion including a strict upstairs ban | The Sun

FROM taking your shoes off at the door to not leaving clothes over the banisters, many proud homeowners have set rules when it comes to their properties – and model Abbey Clancy is no exception.

Abbey Clancy, who is married to ex-England footballer Peter Crouch, built her dream house nine years ago.

The couple, who live in the lavish £3m mansion in Surrey with their four children, Sophia, 12, Liberty, 8, Johnny, 5, and Jack, 4, even had the ceiling tailored to Peter’s 6ft 7in frame and chairs made tall enough for Crouch’s 38in legs.

And with so much thought going into the build, it's little surprise the 37-year-old TV personality, who is set to host a brand new property reality show for ITV, has some ground rules when it comes to her own pristine home.

“If I walk into my house and it doesn’t smell like bleach I’m not happy. I love things to be perfect and beautiful,” she says, speaking to The Times.

“The kids spill Ribena on my cream rug and the cats scratch the sofa that’s just been reupholstered, and every time it’s like a little knife to the heart.”

The TV personality also has a strict rule when it comes to food – and has banned everyone except herself from eating upstairs.

Explaining how she likes to end her day by enjoying tea and biscuits in bed, she notes: “Nothing makes me happier than a clean home, ironed clothes and an organised wardrobe.

"My husband drives me insane saying, ‘Abbey, I can’t find any hoodies’. They are clean, folded, and colour-coordinated, in the drawer with a sticker saying ‘Hoodies’ on!"

When she celebrated her 33rd birthday in style at Park Chinois in London, Abbey was quick to rush online and show off her swanky new £1030 Louis Vuitton slippers that her footballer husband gifted her.

And she's not the only one that wears slippers around the house…

Speaking on the couple's chart-topping podcast The Therapy Crouch, she also briefly mentioned how she keeps a basket of fresh slippers next to her front door for guests to slip into as soon as they enter her house.

The TV personality goes on to say that while many people expect her home to be a "blingy Wag palace", it's anything but.

Instead, she describes it as "classic, eclectic, elegant," adding: “There’s Swedish painted furniture, and my cashmere throws [from a collection she did for Andrew Martin], vintage rugs and antique rocking horses."

Abbey's new six part series, Abbey Clancy: Celebrity Homes begins on October 12 at 9pm on ITVBe and ITVX.
