What year is the Wood Horse?

The Wood Horse year is 1954 and 2014.

The Horse is the seventh of the repeating 12-year cycle of animals that appear in the Chinese zodiac, constituting part of the Chinese calendar system.

The Horse is "associated with the Earthly Branch and the hours 11–13 at midday", according to ChineseNewYear.net.

Horses are said to be 'flighty' galloping from one interest to the next, but being headstrong, they like to complete a project before moving on.

Legend has it that the emperor was hosting a party and claimed that whoever arrived first would hold a spot in the Chinese zodiac.

The horse, alongside the goat, are referred to as 'kind and modest', each letting the other go first, with the emperor ranking them seventh and eighth.

Other years of the Horse

Other years of the horse are 1966, 1978, 1990, 2002, and 2014.

The next Horse year will be 2026.

Celebrities born in the year of the Horse include Denzel Washington
and Dennis Quaid.

Characteristics and personality traits of the Wood Horse

Gorgeous, laid-back, chilled, mellow, happy character.

They just want an easy life and to be allowed to do their own thing in their own time. That's about it.

There is nothing complicated going on here, no inner angst, no demons. Just a casual creature who does just enough to meander through life.

These characters have huge hearts and will absolutely help those in need without taking a breath.

The worst thing you can do to this majestically mellow, happy, kind, thoughtful, sociable, easy creature is to tie them down, demand time from them – it does their head in.
