Chuffed mum nabs a £125 scooter for just £20… here's how | The Sun

A MUM has shared the genius way she managed to nab a £125 scooter for just £20.

Kirsty had been wandering around her local Smyths Toy Superstore when she came across the bargain buy.

And she took to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook to boast about her purchase, as well as revealing how she'd got such a good deal.

"Really pleased with this bargain today!" Kirsty wrote.

"Paid £20 for a ex display in smyths!"

She also shared a picture of the scooter she'd bought, as well as a screenshot of it still up for sale for £124.95 on the Micro Scooter website.

According to the site, the scooter is lightweight, foldable and even has light-up wheels.

It also has adjustable handlebars so that it can be used even as the child grows.

People were left stunned by Kirsty's post, and quickly expressed their shock with emojis.

Often stores will offer discounts on items that have been used as display models.

And, with something like a scooter in Smyths, the likelihood is that it has probably been tested out by numerous kids.

However, Kirsty's picture showed that there was virtually no wear on the scooter footplate.

In fact, the scooter looked almost as good as new.

And if she didn't want to give it to her child now, it's also a brilliant gift to put away for Christmas.
