I changed my unpronounceable name aged nine – mum loved how unique it was, even as a child I realised it was mad | The Sun

A WOMAN has revealed that her mum gave her an unpronounceable name, so she decided to change it when she was just nine-years-old.

Linnea Weikleenget, explained that her mum was called Sue and didn’t want her daughter to have a basic name like her.

Therefore, she was named Linnea, but unfortunately for her, she wasn’t a fan of the name because children at school could never pronounce it.

As a result, she decided to change her moniker, and told her teacher and school children that her name was Lindsay.

Posting on TikTok under the username @linneaweikleenget, Linnea shared her video with the caption ‘Exposed in church.’

She said: “My mom naming me Linnea because her name was Sue and she didn’t want her daughter to have a basic name.
