I did an ASOS wedding guest dress haul and it was hit and miss – one outfit made me look the spit of a squid | The Sun

A FASHION fan decided to order a huge haul of wedding guest dresses for the upcoming summer season, but was left with a majorly mixed bag.

India Moon went shopping online to stock up on potential outfits for the nuptials she’d been invited to, and asked her boyfriend to sit with her and give his opinion as she tried each of them on.

But while some of the outfits in the haul impressed, both India and her man agreed that some of the dresses would be going back in an instant.

And the couple even joked that one in particular made her look like the squid out of SpongeBob Squarepants.

India, who shared a video of her ASOS try-on via her TikTok account @indiaamoon, introduced the two of them and then jumped straight into giving her man and followers a fashion show.

She asked her boyfriend to close his eyes and slipped on a pink dress with cut out detail at the bottom.

And as soon as she said he could open his eyes, it didn’t take long for the honest critique to come out.

While she modelled the look, he told her she reminded him of the cartoon character: “I don’t like the Squidward bit.”

India laughed at his observation, before agreeing that she looked like she was “wearing a jellyfish outfit” or “fancy dress.”

The influencer continued: “The [bottom bits of the dress] looked like they floated a bit more online.”

But, luckily, it wasn’t the only option India had bought.

Up next, she tried on an orange and pink lightly patterned floaty summer dress with cut-out detail around the waist and back.

India explained to her 84.4k social media followers: “First impressions, I really love the colour of this. I thought it was a really nice sunset kind of vibe.”

However, she said the cut-outs weren’t right for a wedding and would be better suited to a holiday.

And India’s boyfriend agreed that while he liked the dress, he thought it might suit someone else better.

The third and fourth dresses in her shopping basket were a sage green mini-dress that looks like a corset on the top with ruched detail, and the same dress in a pastel patterned.

The pair branded the style far “too short” for someone else’s big day, but India said if she was on an abroad trip, she could get away with it as they both really liked it – with the patterned one just edging ahead as the winner.

But India kept her favourite outfit until last – long-sleeved top and beaded maxi skirt in a pretty floral pastel pattern.

Her boyfriend said he thought it was seven: “It’s not wedding but it is nice.”
