Savvy Morrisons fans reveal how you can enjoy a breakie for free this summer & there's a key phrase you need to know | The Sun

MONEY-SAVING foodies have shared how you can devour a scrumptious breakfast at Morrisons for free this summer – and it's all thanks to a special phrase.

Mum Caroline Wood, from Oxford, took to Facebook to inform fellow food lovers about the bargain deal that won't cost you a single penny.

According to the parent, people can enjoy free crumpets and jam at Morrisons – but it's not as simple as showing up and asking for food.

Posting on the popular Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group, Caroline said: ''Free crumpets butter and jam when you ask for Ellen.

''Well done Morrisons.''

The deal, which comes just in time for the school term holiday, offers two Warburtons crumpets with a small packet of butter and jam to go on top.

The post also revealed that there are no exceptions – everyone can enjoy the free breakfast and the offer runs from July 17th until August 13th.

Needless to say, the deal went down a treat, as fellow members on the platform raced to comments to tag their pals and family.

One Facebook user claimed to know the reason behind the phrase, writing: ''They use the name Ellen, as she used to bake for people when times were tough many years ago.

''Ellen Warburton is where the Warburtons brand started ''
