AN INFLUENCER who was invited to review Skims' bras has delivered her honest verdict.
She was concerned it might not be what the shapewear brand wanted to hear but she could only be frank in her appraisal.
Grace Tutty (@gracetutty) wanted to see if they were worth the investment.
This lady has a huge following of over 327,000 and another 35.8 million likes, where she delivers her thoughts on “fashion and self-love.”
But, as a non-bra wearer at the best of times, she wondered whether Skims bra might make her change her stance in her post.
“I hardly ever wear bras. I do not have enough boobs to warrant the back pain that comes with bras," she said.
But Grace admitted to wearing one occasionally if she wanted a bit more "boobage."
“But Skims emailed me and they were like, do you want to try some more bras? So I thought I would just try them on and see if they changed my life."
It was a big ask but she was willing to give it a go and tried out three. "I know Skims are meant to be the best bras in the game, so let’s see what they do to me in this top."
Her verdict on the first one was mixed. "I don’t really think there’s much of a difference. I mean, maybe there’s a tiny bit more like front ways.

"But I don't really think for me there’s enough difference to warrant wearing a bra because I get back pain anyway so I wouldn’t want to add more back pain."
The other two didn't sweep her off her feet either. The second one felt a bit more padded. "I think it has added the smallest difference that I don’t really think I would bother wearing it."
Annoyingly for her, she could also see the straps and that was a no-no.
It was a similar story to the last bra. “I feel like the straps are showing more but again I feel like it’s not doing much. I mean the only thing that the bras are doing is covering my nipples."
She was conscious her review was not a glowing one for Skims. “I’m really sorry to Skims for sending me these but this is my honest review.
“Because I don’t wear bras I thought it would be life-changing but it’s really just the same as a normal bra but it’s a bit softer," she said.
In answer to whether she would buy one she gave her answer: "They are comfy but I don’t really think they’re worth the investment really."
At least one commenter agreed with her when it came to wearing bras.
“Me neither girl. They’re so uncomfortable.”
