I have 36E boobs and I'm a proud member of the no bra club – people judge me and stare, they need to get over it | The Sun

A BUSTY woman who is a proud member of the 'No Bra Club’ insists she’ll continue to go without one despite people constantly staring at her.

Model Ryleigh Hodgins, who has a 36E bust, decided to dress how she wanted after getting fed up with being sexualised.

She also disagrees with studies that say wearing a bra prevents sagging and insists hers will remain perky unsupported.

Ryleigh says: “I don’t enjoy wearing bras and haven’t for years.

“I almost never wear a bra; the only time I do is when I’m working out so they’re supported.

“I find them very uncomfortable and always painful to take off at the end of a day – especially having bigger boobs.

“There are myths that your boobs will become ’saggy’ if you don’t wear a bra but that’s completely false; by not wearing one you are actually strengthening your muscles, so they’re perfectly capable of staying up on their own.

“I have worn bras before in different social settings. For example, while in university I did a placement in government that lasted a few months.

“I knew that it would be frowned upon if I didn’t wear a bra, so out of societal pressure I did.

“When you don’t wear a bra you definitely get stares. Unfortunately, breasts are still sexualised in our society so it’s very common to have people judge or stare.

“I’ve gotten used to the looks though, I am confident in my femininity, my body, and my right to be comfortable.”

She adds: “I’m looking forward to it being normalised, and I have hope that it won’t be long before it is.

“The new generation is very open minded and passionate regarding equal rights, so it’s only up from here.

“Many people are scared of the ’nipple’, but many fail to remember we all have them, nothing is scary or shameful about that.

“I truly believe that a man being topless should be equal to a woman being topless.

“The judgment towards women who decide to go ‘bra-free’ is an aged misogynistic way of thinking.

“I don’t care what anyone says, I will continue to not wear a bra because it's my body, my comfort, and ultimately my choice.”
