I live in a council house and transformed my kitchen so easily with a simple fix – it only cost £3 from eBay | The Sun

AFTER being left with the “worst” kitchen in her council house, one woman took it upon herself to spruce the space up.

Known as sumxlo on social media, she first panned the camera over the room to show how all the cabinets were a light green colour with metal handles.

The counters were also in a green shade with a marble effect on top.

Taking the first step, she decided to get some white vinyl from eBay to wrap around the cabinet  doors.

“Let’s transform my council kitchen,” she wrote over the video as she showed herself sticking the vinyl over the doors and smoothing it down.

She then reattached the handles before securing them all back to their original places.

A second clip showed her wrapping the kitchen counters in a light wood-effect vinyl.

She used a large flat tool to get the paper to stick down on the surfaces in a smooth, bubble-free way.

TikTok user @sumxlo finished by using a small knife to cut the edges off and secure it around the stove outline and the walls, too.

Zooming out, she then revealed the finished product, showing off how different the room looked without the green hues from before.

And when one person asked: “what vinyl did you use please,” she revealed: “Rebbeck oak”.

The vinyl can be found on eBay for as little as £3, making it an ideal budget solution to changing the kitchen.

“I just wrapped my kitchen makes such a difference looks gret xx,” another person comments.

Another asked: “Super nice!! Is it waterproof and heatproof? I would love to do it,” to which she replied: “Nope. You have to put seal around the sink. And don’t put any hot pots and stuff on the worktops”.
