I live totally debt free in my tiny house – it's got all the tech I need, but it’s a nightmare to get to my bedroom | The Sun

A WOMAN who moved into a tiny house in a bid to free herself from debt has shared how she still has room for everything she could ever need.

Shana, who lives in the US, shares the micro home with her two dogs and insists there's plenty of space.

She showed her pad off to Tiny Home Tours, and thanks to some savvy design elements there's more space inside the 103 SqFt home than you might expect.

Since moving into the move back in September 2019, Shana says she still loves the home, which she had custom built for £39k.

When you first enter you're immediately in the living room, which is just big enough for the homeowner and her dogs to kick back and relax.

There's a sofa, which was custom made to fit the space perfectly and have room for extra storage in the arm rests and underneath.

"I have a TV, I have all the creature comforts, it's just kind of all shoved into 103 SqFt," she explained.

There are also plenty of shelves for Shana to show off her antiques and other items she's collected from her travels.

Impressively, she even had a extra small wood burning fireplace addedto the tiny space to make it perfectly cosy.

The kitchen is about the same length as the living room but still has all the nifty gadgets she could ever need.

There's a small fridge freezer, two gas hobs, a small oven and plenty of storage.

The bathroom is just as well organised, although you'll have to use the kitchen sink to wash your hands since there was no space for one next to the toilet.

"I was going to put a sink here but I thought why not just walk two steps to that sink and save space and put a pretty window in it's place," she explained.

The only downside to the micro home is the fact that Shana has to climb a ladder anytime she wants to go to her bedroom – which might not be idea if you need to go to the loo late at night.

Apart from that, there's plenty of room in the loft bedroom though, and Shana even has built in bookshelves next to her double bed.

"I feel like it's everything I need," she said.

Shana, who is originally from Texas, decided to have the home built inDurango, Colorado, because it matched all her criteria – including being a walkable city.

A walkable location was important to Shana since she also sold her car to help pay off her debt.

Not only that but she also took up a second job alongside her teaching gig and is now totally debt free.

After the video of her home what shared on YouTube people were impressed by the design.

One said: "Hands down, this is one of the cutest and most nicely appointed tiny home’s I’ve every seen!
