I lost all my teeth so had to get dental implants – l love my new smile but there’s no room for my tongue, I’m mortified | The Sun

A WOMAN has shared how her new dental implants have left her with no room for her tongue to sit comfortably.

Former drug addict Faith Hill shared the unfortunate fail after losing all of her teeth to 'meth mouth'.

The 24-year-old, from Missouri, the US, is now forced to wear dental implants after her six-year drug addiction saw her lose every one of her gnashers by the time she was 20.

But as the young woman recently revealed to her 2.9million fans on TikTok, the journey has not been the smoothest – and one of her temporary dental fixes only serves as proof.

Whilst the ex-drug addict was all chuffed with how the fake teeth looked from the front, the story was slightly different inside her mouth.

Posing with the new smile, the social media star revealed in her video that the back of the implants was far too big, causing discomfort.

''The teeth themselves – they're a great size.''

Pointing at the bottom half of her mouth, she said: ''It's that – I have nowhere for my tongue to go.''

Since being shared on the platform, the clip has racked up thousands of views, with close to 300 people racing to share their thoughts.

One reckoned: ''I feel like they can shave that back a little.''

A professional agreed, adding: ''Dental technician here.. I would definitely ask them again because for me personally I see no reason why it has to be that big? Maybe healing?''

''You should be able to ask the dental assistant to take it down. Make more room for your tongue. Temps are how they fix the issues before permanents,'' someone else advised.

''It’s so they won’t break. Temps are just plastic technically. The permanent ones will be much better, hang in there!'' another chimed in.

Abuse of crystal meth can cause ‘meth mouth’ – which is when a drug user’s teeth begin to crack and decay.

Speaking of how she came to lose her teeth, Faith said: “I was on a six-year drug bender on methamphetamines.

“I was living on the streets, hotels, anywhere I could manage to lay my head at.

“I obviously didn't take care of my teeth. Well, I thought I did, but I didn't. And it caused a lot of breakage, a lot of rotting, and I finally got them removed.”
