A CLEANING fan has revealed she uses designer socks to mop her dirty floors – and people are not impressed.
Like most of us, TikTok user Washy Wash (@washy_wash) is all about hacks that will save her money.
But the budget-friendly tricks enthusiast was recently met with criticism after revealing she uses Tommy Hilfiger socks to clean her house.
The cleaning whizz, who has a whopping 1.1million fans on TikTok, faced the harsh words due to a video shared on then popular social media platform.
In the now-viral clip, the young woman can be seen sticking two old Tommy Hilfiger socks on her mop before cleaning her floors.
''When you gave plenty of odd socks, so you used them for mopping,'' she wrote alongside the footage.

''Wipping with Tommy Hilfiger socks,'' a viewer exclaimed in horror.

Recently another cleanfluencer was trolled after telling people she uses a laundry tablet to remove marks from her sofa.
Saving money and time, Kate revealed her easy hack on TikTok and all it requires is a single kitchen towel, a pot lid and laundry tablet.
Starting the clip off, she placed an orange wipe down on a table and placed a lid on top before tying the sides of the towel around the lid.
She then took a laundry tablet and popped it into a bowl.
Asda sells a 20 pack for just £3.25 – giving people an added bonus for how to use them for all their money’s worth.
Filling this up with hot water, she waited until it dissolved before dipping the lid in to coat it in a light layer of the solution.
Going back and forth over each side of the couch, including the arm rests and cushions, Kate made sure to get into each crevice to rid it of dirt.
Showing off the finished results, she panned the camera over the scene, revealing a very fresh-looking living area.
“Best way to clean your sofa, it really works,” she captioned the clip, clearly enthused by her own method.
And while some people were in agreement with her, others were left worried over the 1.7million people who had liked the clip as they warned her of the impact it could have on trusting fans.
While a third agreed: “leaving cleaning solution on fabric makes it an irritant causing rashes and blisters. be careful out there peeps.”
One person suggested they go in with a deeper wash as they said: “I just take the couch covers off and wash them in the machine”.
