I spent £2.95 in Greggs but got SO much amazing food that the bag broke on my way home, here’s how | The Sun

IT’S every foodie’s dream come true to go home with bundles of food that they’ve saved money on.

And now one bargain hunter has revealed how he managed to do exactly that with a Greggs bag – and only hand over £2.95.

TikTok user Junk Food Boss shared how he’d got a bag of sandwiches and sweet treats that was so big that it actually split on his way home.

Junk Food Boss, whose social media profile is @JunkFoodB0SS, posted a clip to his account, as he went through the results of his impressive food haul.

Starting off the show and tell, he explained: “Greggs have given me so much food that the bag was so heavy that the handle snapped on the way back.”

He then unpacked the bag, starting out with the sandwich selection, which included a chicken and bacon baguette, a Mexican chicken bite roll and an egg mayo sandwich.

@JunkFoodB0SS then moved onto the baked goods, as he showed how he’d snapped up three sausage rolls, two sausage, bean and cheese melts, and a steak bake.

The bag also delivered when it came to Greggs’ sweet selection, as he was able to tuck into a sugar donut, a sprinkle donut, and two belgian buns.

Alongside the video, he wrote: “All this food for £2.95 #toogoodtogo #greggs #food #bargain #costoflivingcrisis.”

And he said in the video that the goods were “unbelievable”.

But how did the food influencer manage to bag such a bargain in the first place?

He said it is as simple as ordering a mystery magic bag from popular App Too Good To Go.

The company, which is dedicated to reducing food waste up and down the country, allows users to select a Magic Bag filled with an array of products close to their sell-by date.

Greggs is one of the most in-demand food shops featured on the app, but it also includes the likes of supermarkets and fast food restaurants.

@JunkFoodB0SS explained to his social media followers: “Get the ‘Too Good to Go’ app and look for what there is in your area.

“Greggs, Starbucks and Costa are some of the big brands that do them.”

He later added: “Order and pay for it in advance (usually the day before) and go and pick it up before closing, today was 3.30pm.”

The bag was so heavy that the handle snapped on the way back

Other bargain hunter foodies quickly told him how jealous they were of his selection, as they said they had yet to be so lucky.

One wrote: “Never ever had any hot counter products.

“Best I got was 2 baguettes and 2 sweet treats.”

Another was in agreement, as they added: “You got way more than me done Greggs 5 times wow.”

Meanwhile, a third commented: “Greggs has been the best I’ve had on TGTG but never this good.”

But others said they’d been blown away by what Greggs and other stores had given them in the past, all thanks to one click of a button on the app.

One mum said: “When my son lived in London he practically survived on too good to go.
