CHOOSING a name for your child is a big decision for any parent to make.
After all, you want to love the name, you hope your little one will like it and for many, it would be ideal if others thought it was nice too.
But one mum has taken to TikTok to reveal her baby name regret.
Sarah Sollars, posting under the username @sarah.r.sollars, has 12.4k followers and 556.3k likes on the video sharing platform and revealed that she regrets the spelling of her two-year-old daughter’s name.
The mum, from the US, uploaded her clip with the caption ‘Does anyone else regret how they spelled their child’s name?’.
She explained that she regrets the spelling of her two-year-old daughter's name, as people never understand how to say it and often think she’s a boy.

She said: “It’s 10 o’clock at night and I am thinking about how I named my daughter Llewelyn.
“I don’t know a Llewelyn and I’d never heard the name, outside of the main character from No Country For Old Men – it’s an amazing movie.
“Anyway, I spelt her name Llewelyn and I just realised thanks to a TikTok that I should have spelt her name Lou Ellen, more feminine.
“But I didn’t, I named her Llewelyn and what I get is “LuLuin?” or when I say it’s Llewelyn, there’s a follow-up question of “So what are we calling her?”.

The mum then followed-up and said: “Llewelyn or LLewellyn is a common spelling. From what I gather it is a Welsh boy's name”.

Sarah’s video has quickly racked up 38.3k views, 2,043 likes, 376 comments and 32 shares.
TikTok users were understanding of the child’s name and explained that in the UK, it is typically a Welsh boy’s name.
