I nearly got kicked out of the gym for breaking dress code – they said to cover up, the rules are lame & my fit is cute | The Sun

A FITNESS fanatic has revealed the humiliating moment when she was almost kicked out of her local gym.

She and her friend were stretching in an empty room when an employee suddenly came in to warn her of the club’s rules.

Tash (@tashabrazilliano) has garnered over 425,000 followers on TikTok, where she shares her love of exercise.

She sparked a debate on the social media platform after sharing footage of the moment that she was caught breaking the rules at a local gym.

She flaunted her enviable physique in green shorts and a matching sports bra paired with white sneakers.

Interrupting her session in the gym, an employee said: “So I do work here.

“There’s a dress code. I’m not going to kick you out but next time please bring a shirt.”

Tash admitted that she felt awkward as she turned towards her camera that had been set up to film her workout.

She showed a sign on the wall that listed the dress code alongside graphic examples of what is and isn’t considered appropriate.

Prohibited items included exposed chest/midriff, exposed buttocks (no excessively short shorts), undergarments worn as outer garments (i.e. sports bras), and open-toe shoes.

Over 279,000 people have watched the video and it has racked up hundreds of likes.

Tash said: “Luckily this isn’t my usual gym. I couldn’t deal with this every day omg.”

She added that the employee was “super sweet and polite” but she was too embarrassed to speak.

A stream of commenters reassured Tash that her outfit was suitable and blasted the gym for almost kicking her out.

One person wrote: “I would be getting a membership elsewhere.”

A second commented: “Wow I didn’t know it was high school, dress code at the gym is wild.”

Another said: “Your outfits are fine, tho policy is policy, recommend joining another gym.”

Tash replied: “Thank you! Yeah no I agree, I’ll follow the rules but they're lame af [as f**k] lol, luckily this isn’t my everyday gym.”

Others argued all gyms should enforce similar dress code rules that require members to dress modestly.

One person wrote: “Good. People need to realize they’re not at home.”

Another chimed in: “It’s because of hygiene bro it’s not that deep…”
