I stay warm & cozy on the sofa with a clever buy that stops you turning the heating on, it costs 2 cents per hour to run | The Sun

A HOME expert has shared her top two purchases for keeping warm this winter.

One of her go-to heating products will help cut down on your energy bills.

In her video, Jessica May (@jessicamay_home) explained: "Cozy season has arrived and I’m all about finding ways to keep myself warm."

For her first suggestion, the Instagrammer revealed the item she uses to stay warm in her living room.

Jessica recommended the $50 Cosi Home Heated Blanket Electric Throw.

She told her followers: "This is a great way to stay warm whilst saving on heating the house.

"With 10 different heat settings to choose from, it’s the perfect warm to keep yourself warm on those chilly days."

Jessica revealed that the handy item only costs two cents per hour when plugged in.

Amazon shoppers also shared their glowing reviews of the product.

"This blanket is made of soft and cozy material that feels great against the skin, and the heating technology is fantastic," wrote one reviewer.

Another person said: "This heated throw is the best I’ve ever purchased, I've tried all price ranges from different stores through the years, and this one was worth it, highly recommend as a present."

She also showed her audience the product she uses to keep warm throughout the night.

To heat her bed before she goes to sleep, Jessica purchased a $45 heated mattress pad from Amazon.

"Simply place this on top of your mattress then make your bed as normal and then climb into bed," she explained.

"Pick from one of the three different heat settings and snuggle into bed," she told viewers.

For safety reasons, you should always turn off your electric heating pad or blankets before going to sleep.

Jessica called the item "the perfect way to keep yourself warm when sleeping at night rather than [heating] your whole house."

Her followers took to the comments section to share their thoughts on the products.

"This looks so so cozy, definitely need," wrote one Instagram user.
