A MUM has opened up about breastfeeding her five-year-old son, hitting back at critics that have branded her choice as “weird.”
TikTok user and mum-of-two Lauren McLeod, who can be found @the.lauren.mcleod, took to the social media platform to explain her situation.
She told her followers that her son, who is just about to turn five, still breastfeeds once a day, just before bedtime.
She then shared how she always hears statements like: “You can’t breastfeed your 5 year old, that’s so weird.”
But defending her choice, Lauren said: “It’s not weird.
“It’s biologically normal and what works for us.”
