A COUPLE have revealed that they always thought McDonald’s Monopoly was a scam until they won the ultimate prize.
Holly Doecke and her partner were left stunned when they won a major prize on the fast food chain’s Monopoly game – a brand new car.
Holly, who is from Melbourne, Australia, took to social media to show off their prize – a red Volkswagen Polo – leaving many open-mouthed.
If you’ve never played the McDonald’s Monopoly before, to win prizes, fans must collect stickers from their food packaging that represent pieces from the classic game.
You can also collect the pieces through the McDonald's app – a feature introduced last year.
McDonald's Monopoly usually lasts for around six weeks, and this year it's set to end on October 17.

While you can win coupons for free food items and gift vouchers for online stores, among the top prizes this year are £100,000 in cash for five winners, TUI holidays worth £2,000 and "gold cards", which give you a free medium Maccies meal every week for a year.
Last year, Holly claimed that she won the brand new car on the chain’s Monopoly.
Showing off her new car online, Holly explained: “Us thinking Maccas Monopoly was a scam…”
Seconds later, we saw the couple at a Volkswagen showroom, as Holly’s partner stood next to their brand new car, complete with a bright yellow bow on the bonnet, as she continued: “Then winning the major prize.”

Holly then thanked the fast food giant and beamed: “Thanks Maccas for the new ride!”
The blonde beauty later confirmed: “We thought [we would have to provide our receipt] but we only had to provide the winning ticket.
“The day we found out we scrambled to get the receipt from Maccas but didn't need it.”
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @hollydoecke, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has amassed a staggering 499,700 views.
Social media users were stunned at Holly’s epic prize and many took to the comments to express this.
One person said: “LUCKY, ALL I GET IS A BURGER.”
Another added: “The dream!!”
A third commented: “First time I've seen someone actually win.”
Meanwhile, someone else wrote: “I’m in shock.”
To this, Holly responded: “Literally me too.”
