I train Jennifer Aniston – here’s the secrets to having that gorgeous body at 54 | The Sun

AT 54, Hollywood star Jennifer Aniston has a body that women half her age would kill for.

And while the Friends actress used to put herself through gruelling, early morning cardio sessions to achieve her toned physique, it’s been revealed she’s now done a total 180 on how she works out.

Over the past few years, Jennifer has become a fan of a lower-impact type of exercise that’s designed to “future-proof” the body.

And it’s all thanks to a fitness company called Pvolve, which uses resistance-based equipment, including an inflatable ball and resistance bands, to target the whole body.

Jennifer recently became a partner for the brand after falling in love with it two years ago when a friend introduced her to it.

After finding out more, she reached out to Pvolve's director of training, Dani Coleman, and asked for some personal training sessions – something Dani recently admitted in an interview that she was “beside” herself about.

Dani told Business Insider: “She just realised you don't have to break your body, which is something a lot of us were raised thinking with workouts.

“As a former dancer, I always thought I had to be in pain with movement and, yeah, not true.”

Now, Dani trains Jennifer two to three times a week at her home, and has revealed exactly what the pair do and how Jennifer works extremely hard to look the way she does.

The sessions, which are approximately just under an hour each time, focus on Pvolve’s “sculpt and burn” format, which is a combination of strength-building, cardiovascular work, mobility, and stability.

The description adds: “This full body class focuses on strengthening your thighs and glutes and improving mobility in your body while you get your heart pumping and work up a sweat.  Includes planks.”

And Dani says that Jennifer really throws herself into each session, as she added: “One of my favourite things about Jen is she really doesn't shy away from a challenging workout.”

Jennifer herself has also opened up about her new approach to keeping fit, and has praised Dani for really putting her through her paces.

The star explained: “Dani will come to the house and we'll get to do a workout live, which is always great.

“It's always harder because Dani is all about direct corrections of your form.

“If you're even off by a millisecond or your shoulders down — which is really important.”

Jennifer added in another interview that she’d been forced to reassess her workout regime when a particularly hard workout left her with a painful back injury.

She explained: “I had to retrain my brain.

“It used to be pounding, pounding, pounding. You had to get 45 minutes to an hour of cardio; otherwise, you weren’t getting a workout.”

She added: “Not only do you stress your body, you burn out – who wants to do that at all?”
