I transformed my kids' bedroom to give it a modern look & them some privacy and it was a bargain | The Sun

A MUM has seriously impressed people with her amazing DIY skills after transforming her children's bedroom.

Lousie, from the UK, shared the transformation on TikTok and people couldn't believe the results.

The mum transformed the room with her husband for just £300 and shared how they turned it from drab to fab in a TikTok video.

The room itself was large already – so the DIY whizz had plenty of space to work with.

First, they painted the room and put in new laminated floorboards.

Then they set out partitioning the children's beds by creating a wooden stud frame using CLS wood.

We transformed our daughter’s tiny bedroom in a weekend using Asda bargains

They purchased the beds for £40 each and build the frame around them.

They then added cladding to the frame using 32 x 12 planed timber and designed an arched doorway to get in and out of.

The final result would be a dream for any kid – and would feel like sleeping in a treehouse.

The video has since gone viral with over 600k views and people were seriously impressed by the transformation.

Others weren't so sure about the cost breakdown, one asked: "how the hell were you able to laminate in that budget too??"

Louise responded, saying: "The whole mega room was £300- so for that space, the percentage of that would be about £30."
