I trusted a stranger to give me a free mystery tattoo – it's so bad I gave it a nickname and want it removed immediately | The Sun

GETTING a tattoo on your body is usually a well-researched decision that takes months and often years of planning.

But sometimes we throw caution to the wind and make choices we regret – just like TikTok user Tahlia Pritchard.

The Aussie went viral on social media after posting a video of herself in Sydney getting a mystery tattoo on her ankle, only to discover the very unfortunate consequences.

A whopping 2.9million people watched the comical event unfold, and Tahlia admitted wanting rid of the ink as soon as she saw it.

She posted the short clip using the hashtag #gloryholetattoo and confessed her intentions.

“Out here at #FODI making some dangerous decisions,” she captioned the video.

“Putting my blind faith in someone I’ve never met to give me a mystery tattoo,” Tahlia adds as the video plays out.

Sporting a wide grin, Tahlia signs a waiver and a man – possibly the tattoo artist – shows her how to position her leg through the ‘glory hole’.

She’s shown laying down patiently as her tattoo takes shape behind a white wall. Then the clip cuts to the finished product.

The camera zooms in on Tahlia’s ankle, which now sports a two-part design of a detailed brown bird perched on top of a very poorly drawn skull.

Viewers launched into the comments to share their shock at her new and questionable ink, with some even saying they'd sue.

One user wrote: “Omg I would simply cry.”

Some days later, Tahlia shared a video update to answer a few burning questions from her followers.

Some asked if she had the skull already, which she strongly denied.

She explained: “I’ve been through a lot of emotions. I’ve kind of landed on the idea of what if I keep it exactly how it is? It’s always going to be a funny story to tell.”
