I was tired of nosy people looking into my house so found the perfect way to get privacy back – my windows look great | The Sun

A SAVVY woman has unveiled the clever way she’s managed to get her privacy back after noticing nosy people looking directly into her home.

Ami explained that her back door has a huge bit of glass on the front, which means people can look in whenever they want.

Clearly tired of this issue, she set about fixing it and, thanks to her method, was left with a stunning interior too.

“Our back door is just plain glass and we don’t get a lot of privacy,” she told viewers.

“I wanted something that would still let the light in, but people wouldn’t be able to see in and vinyl is perfect for that.”

As she spoke, the TikTok user cut open a package and removed white and black star design.

Kia and her partner then set about cleaning the door before measuring the vinyl to see how much of it they would actually need to use.

“I first cleaned the door just to make sure there wasn’t any dirt or dust or anything on there and then Andre and I did the vinyl together,” she continued.

Showing a close-up of the process, viewers saw the couple place the vinyl onto the glass and smooth it over.

@positivami continued: “I’d love to say it was like a cute couple activity that we did, but we argued the entire time because one of us kept getting loads of bubbles in it and it wasn’t me.

“Arguing aside, I’m just so happy with how this came out because it’s still so light and bright in the kitchen.”

Mia loved it so much that she decided to do the same thing to her kitchen window as well.

Going through the same steps of cleaning it down before applying the vinyl, she gushed over how well it turned out.

“We live in a terraced house and at the back there’s like a walkway to all the houses, so there are people walking by here every now and again,” she explained.

“So it’s just really nice to have this bit more privacy. I definitely recommend Jes Rose Vinyl if you want to do something like this for yourself, because look how good it looks.”

In the caption, she added; “So buzzing with how this DIY vinyl turned out! What a result!”

Viewers were left in awe of the results as one person wrote: “Wasn’t feeling it at the beginning but at the end, fabulous”.

“Gorgeous,” another said, adding: “and your both still alive lol”. [sic]
