A TESCO worker has pleaded with punters to be kind to staff during the hot and stressful summer months – and given shoppers some tip tips.
The days can be long and steamy for crews manning the tills and stocking shelves at supermarkets.
Conor Boyle, 23, reckons the ideal way to repay them for their hard work is simply to be nice.
He said: “Remember, sometimes it can be a little stressful for colleagues working in the store during the summer.
“So please treat them how you would want to be treated, and we’ll do the same for you.”
Conor, from Dunfermline, Fife, has worked at Tesco for the past five years, mainly helping customers at the self service checkouts.
But he became a TikTok star after he filmed himself reading out tannoy announcements (@coboconor).
He believes a little bit of kindness goes a long way for both staff and shoppers.
Conor said: “At the end of the day it’s all about making a customer leave the store happy and with a big smile on their face
“I think the best thing that makes a colleague or a customer’s day is a smile and a little conversation.

“It can really help someone who is a little down and to feel better again and look forward to the day ahead.”
Conor told how some punters pop into Tesco in the summer to get out of the heat and into the cold air conditioned store.
While others are desperate to get in and out as fast as they can so they can make the most of the sunshine.
And he passed on some of his top summer tips for shoppers looking for a quick supermarket visit.
He said: “For those who want to maximise their time outside, I would recommend using scan as you shop.
"Scanning as you go makes everything so much faster.”
And he passed on some advice on what he thinks you should nip into your local supermarket.
Conor added: “I think the best time to go shopping is later in the evening.
“The store is often quieter then so it can be easier to find what you need.”
Connor gave a shout out to Tesco’s Fire Pit and Summer Edition ranges as the best buys for a barbecue.
His personal favourite are the stuffed peppers. And he’s also a big fan of refreshing raspberries.
He’s not a big sun worshipper so loves spending time in the cool store.
And he confessed that the summer rush is a lot easier to deal with than the Christmas madness.
Conor said: “Working in the summer is actually quite a relaxing experience for me.
