A FORMER employee of Claire's Accessories has spilled the beans on what it was like working at the popular high street retailer.

21-year-old TikTok user Daniel (@denialdenialdenial) said his experience was so traumatic, he still experienced nightmares two years after quitting.


Last minute shoppers

According to the bloke, who's believed to be from the US, there would often be customers popping into the store just as they were about to shut for the day.

Despite Daniel explaining that this would not be possible as the mall would be kicking people out anyway, the person would insist on getting their ears pierced.

''Sorry, you'll just have to come back another day, unfortunately,'' he shared the interaction on TikTok.

Furious, the angry customer would then hit back at the employee, shouting: ''This is ridiculous…

However, according to Daniel who had compiled some of the best bits in the video, there would be another type of shopper annoying him.

This person, he revealed, would insist on buying an item that's out of stock.

''It does say your guys' location is out of stock. It does say it's in stock on the website – but I don't want to buy it from the website.

After Daniel apologising and explaining that they haven't been sent any for some time now, the customer would not take 'no' for an answer.

''Okay. But I really want it. You guys are like five minutes from my house.

''Why don't you guys have it?''

Young mums

Whilst working at the retailer, Daniel said he also had to deal with mums wanting piercings for their babies – some of whom were as young as one week.

But however many times the man proceeded to explain that would not be possible, the parent would insist.

''But I'm her mother. I want to get her ears pierced. I'm saying I want.

''I'm allowing my daughter to get her ears pierced.''

Sharing the stories, Daniel was mortified, admitting: ''I still can’t believe that I worked there for 2 years.

''I have nightmares about this job.''
