I’m a body language expert – the moment Harry gave William a ‘thunderous look’ & ‘severe side-eye’ at the coronation | The Sun

HE MAY have been sitting two rows behind his brother but that didn’t stop Prince Harry from giving his brother William a ‘thunderous’ look this morning according to one expert.

The two brothers found themselves reunited for the coronation of their father King Charles at Westminster Abbey today and it seems the Duke of Sussex couldn’t hide his feelings.

In one photo Harry, 38, can be seen staring in the direction of his brother with body language expert Judi James explaining how the prince might be feeling.

Speaking to Fabulous, she says: “Despite his act of bravado there were some more telling moments and expressions from Harry, like this pensive one when he seemed to glance across at William.

“William is clearly not about to look back here and Harry’s severe side-eye glance suggests he’s sneaking this thunderous look almost unintentionally.

“When we tell ourselves not to do something the brain only tends to hear the suggestion without processing the ‘don’t’ command, suggesting the more Harry was telling himself not to look across at his brother the more he couldn’t stop.”

It comes as…

  • Prince Harry has been relegated to the third row at the ceremony
  • All the details for the day have been released
  • George, Charlotte and Louis are set for a starring role in the procession
  • UK news publishers will be able to livestream the coronation after the BBC sparked outrage with a blackout

Upon entering the abbey Prince Harry appeared to have a very different demeanour, appearing relaxed and sociable.

Judi added: “If we were expecting some signals of anxiety, reflection or even the look of a penitent, Harry decided to disappoint the critics.

Royal fans say the same thing as Harry takes his seat at Westminster Abbey

“He arrived in the guise of Harry the joker, miming Eugenie’s heavily-pregnant bump to make his cousin and her husband Jack laugh, before falling back to walk in alone, not in a way that looked solitary or shameful, but with a jaunty stride and beaming grin as he spoke or acknowledged people in the congregation like old friends.

“It was a very counterintuitive act of body language defiance and resilience and a very different, cockier Harry than we have seen on his most recent visits to the UK.”

The Duke of Sussex was spotted at Heathrow Airport – ready to jet back to Meghan Markle in the US just an hour after the coronation.

He is in a rush back to California for his son Archie’s fourth birthday – and is likely to land late tonight local time.

Harry wasted no time in leaving behind his newly-crowned father King Charles and other royals – leaving London's Westminster Abbey around 1.15pm.

He hopped into a blacked-out electric BMW and was whizzed 20 miles to Heathrow, arriving by police convoy around 2.05pm.

The duke was taken into the VIP Windsor Suite at Terminal 5.

As his car was spotted in the busy London airport, his father led his family on to the balcony at Buckingham Palace for the first time as King.

Charles, 74, was cheered by thousands of royal fans to ring in his new reign as King.

The monarch was flanked by his family including Queen Camilla to celebrate a historic coronation ceremony.

It comes after Harry arrived separately from his brother William to see their father crowned King.

Harry was accompanied to the ceremony by Princess Beatrice's hubby Edo Mapelli Mozzi.

He then took a seat next to Princess Eugenie’s husband Jack Brooksbank.

On his other side was Princess Alexandra, 86 — Queen Elizabeth’s cousin.

Alongside was Prince Andrew’s daughters Eugenie, 33, and sister Beatrice, 34, who is sitting next to Edo.

In front of Harry was his aunt Princess Anne alongside her husband Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence.

A source told The Sun: "There were discussions that the seating could be arranged on line of succession.

"But that would have put fifth-in-line Harry front and centre — and with William and Kate.
