I’m a bride – people are horrified by the dresses I had my bridesmaids wear but it was the best decision I’ve ever made | The Sun

WHEN a bride-to-be shared her exciting news with the bridal party, she had one request for them.

Her bridesmaids needed to follow a specific rule, even though it left online trolls aghast.

Florida-based bride Flor Stigol (@florstigol) recently celebrated her wedding, and she's having a ball posting about it on social media.

On her TikTok, her bio warns, "A lot of wedding content." That includes two videos about her most controversial choice.

When she posted the first clip, Stigol didn't anticipate the reaction she'd receive.

The footage shows her, in a long white gown, surrounded by nine bridesmaids.

They wore mismatched dress styles, but all were a shade of pale, blushing pink.

Stigol had allowed the bridesmaids to choose their own dresses, provided they chose roughly the same color.

She made a cheeky joke in the video's caption. "Reasons I regret having my bridesmaids choose their own dresses," she wrote.

Then, she provided no further information – because she didn't regret a thing.

But some commenters were critical, and some even said the photo didn't look like a wedding.

"It looks more like a prom picture," wrote one person.

Another admitted, "It took me a moment to notice the bride." One woman said the footage looked "messy."

"I thought maybe I would do this for my wedding, but this has made me think otherwise," she wrote.

"Different dress, same color only looks good in darker colors," someone argued.

Many defended Stigol and pointed out the obvious way to find her.

"The white dress is actually a huge giveaway," wrote a sarcastic commenter.

In a follow-up video, Stigol addressed the backlash and made her opinion completely clear.

She showed a posed photo from her big day, with a caption over the top and a famous song to make her point.

The text read, "All of TikTok when they saw my pink, mismatched bridesmaid dresses."

Then, a clip from Taylor Swift's song Speak Now played as Stigol appeared on the green screen.

"Horrified looks from everyone in the room," she mouthed.
