I'm a celebrity chef – my Trader Joe's 'cheat code' dinner is just six ingredients, the results are easy elegance | The Sun

A CELEBRITY chef has revealed her mouth-watering Trader Joe's "cheat code" dinner.

Her easy-to-make recipe used just six ingredients — and the relish with which she ate the finished dish was obvious to all.

"This is what I call easy elegance," said Chef Lovely (@cheflovely) — and it was easy to see why.

The cooking pro has a huge following of one million fans, who've given her a phenomenal 13.8 million likes on her videos.

She is a celebrity chef and TV host who has appeared on Lovely Bites on Discover+, Hulu, and the Oprah Winfrey network.

But that does not mean she is above creating delicious dishes on a budget.

That's what she achieved in this post, whipping up a meal that looked lip-smacking good for just $27.

"Trader Joe’s cheat code, dinner for two," she wrote at the top of her video as her food shopping began.

Into her basket went carrots, braised beef, potatoes, garlic, whipping cream, and parsley.

She then started the preparation. “Roasted beef at 350 degrees for 22–25 minutes. [Then] peeled and diced two potatoes."

She brought the potatoes to the boil, added garlic, then the carrots "for the last seven minutes of cooking."

Into another bowl, she emptied a quarter of a carton of heavy cream, three tablespoons of butter, and a pinch of salt, and into this added the smashed cooked potato.

Meanwhile, she slathered the cooked carrots with butter and salt.

Finally, onto the blended and smooth buttery potato mix, she placed the cooked beef, positioning the carrots on top.

With a flourish, the dish was completed with a garnish of parsley.

As Chef Lovely ate the finished dish, the deliciousness was written all over her face.

She poured herself a well-deserved glass of red wine to make it an occasion.

Over 22,000 have liked her video and hundreds have commented.

“Thanks for this. $27 for two people is great. And cheaper if you already have potatoes and garlic at home," observed one commenter.

“As a single, this is perfect to freeze in individual meals," said another.
